LANDMARKS Puçol has two churches, the church of Los Santos Juanes dating from the 18th century, and the church of Santa Marta from the 20th century, in the quarter of Hostalets. Also worth seeing are the ruins of the garden fence of the bishop palace, build by order of the viceroy S. Juan de Ribera. One Puçol also has a medieval tower, attached to one of the houses in town. The hall Corazón de Jesús is specially charming, and it is worth to mention as well the hills of Costera, Cabeçol and Espartal.
GASTRONOMY The paella, the stews and the giblet soup are the most famous specialities of the region. During the feasts in town, it is typical to eat rabbit with tomatoes. Cakes and sweets like the filled baked roll are also very famous in the region.
FEASTS September 1st to 9th the village celebrates the feasts to honour the Virgin Mary Al pie de la cruz, including religious acts, fireworks, bull fighting, parties… The Entrà de la Murta parade, on September the 6th, is specially beautiful, and it is accompanied by drum and flute players and lead by horse riders.
