LADMARKS Saint Miguel Archangel church, (17th-19th century), the Riu-Rau (formerly used to dry fruits), the Stations of the Cross (18th-19th centuries), Plaça de la Constitució (originally the centre of the village) and the Nevera (18th century, to store the snow during wintertime and be able to use it in summertime). There are also plenty of interesting natural areas like Aldaia mountain mass, the houses of Drova or fountains like El Cirer, El Puig Mola, Mongetes, l’Olm and Gamellons. Furthermore, Barx has the viewpoint Mirador de la Visteta, where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views. Lots of hiking paths around the town, located in the region of La Valldigna (La Safor) complete the tourist offer of Barx.
FEASTS The village fiestas take place the third week of August, and are devoted to the Virgen Mary and to Saint Michael. Religious acts, celebrations, parties, bullfighting with small bulls, etc. January the 17th is Saint Anthony’s day, and December the 8th, the Immaculate Conception.
GASTRONOMY It is worth mentioning the typical cakes, as well as the excellent typical sausages, the figatells (typical meatballs cooked in the area), and the rosemary honey. You can buy these products in the local shops even during the weekend.
